Pancake Day, or Shrove Tuesday as it is known in the UK, is celebrated as Carnival and Mardi Gras elsewhere in the world. This year, it was celebrated on Tuesday 25th February 2020. Pancake day also meant that we all had a fantastic time making, and eating, a lot of pancakes! Working on their own, or in small groups, the children were tasked in creating their own pancakes, and designing their own topping. This was with the help of the Wenlock Topping Bar! This meant that they had to gather, weigh, mix, and cook independently. A definite cross curricular activity! All pupils worked well in the kitchen, displaying maturity and demonstrating the importance of developing their life skills.
