At The Wenlock School, our careers programme is underpinned by our core values: Successful Learners, Confident Individuals, and Responsible Citizens. We are dedicated to ensuring every student is prepared for their journey after school.
Successful Learners
We empower students to become Successful Learners by providing impartial guidance and advice on all post-16 pathways, including further education, training, and employment across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5. We integrate careers education into the curriculum, helping students understand the link between their subjects and future opportunities.
Confident Individuals
Our programme develops Confident Individuals by exposing them to a wide range of possibilities and involving many outside agencies such as employers and education providers. This exposure helps students explore their strengths, interests, and aspirations, giving them the confidence to make well-informed decisions about their next steps.
Responsible Citizens
We foster Responsible Citizens by helping students understand their role in the wider community and the world of work. We encourage proactive engagement in work experience and career-related activities, teaching them the responsibility required for successful adult life and professional engagement.
